Beverly Hicks, of Camden, won the fall football contest for week six, correctly picking 14 of 16 games for the week. Trailing behind Hicks in the week six contest were contestants Danny Gilbert and Randy Gilbreth, who each made 12 correct picks.

The only games Hicks got wrong last week were the contests of Hollow Rock – Bruceton versus Hickman County and Middle Tennessee State University versus Miami. Hickman toppled HRB 31-13. In the bigger upset, MTSU defeated Miami 45-31. Hicks was in good company on this miss – every player in last week’s contest picked Miami over MTSU!

No one got the tie-break question again last week, which came in the game at Decatur County where Riverside hosted Camden. The record high score for the week was the Panther’s 70 points, which handily topped the 27 points offered by the Lions.

Check out the week seven contest on page 2B of this paper. Watch out for those tricky college matches, where the underdogs won more than their fair share last weekend. Any cancelled games are counted as correct answers.

The $25 weekly winner’s prize is anyone’s for the taking, so try your luck and choose all 16 winners next lineup. Don’t forget to mark an answer for the tie-break question, and be sure to get your completed form to The Chronicle office by Friday at 5 p.m.
