Torrential rains flooded area roads on Sunday and Monday and kept cloud coverage throughout Tuesday making the start of the week rather wet for most in Benton County. Some of the worst hit roads included Marquette Ave., Liberty Church Rd., Eva Flatwoods Rd., and Rockport Rd. at the tunnel.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperatures will remain moderate with sunshine peeking through on Wednesday and Thursday, with a high of around 65 degrees. Rain is in the forecast for Friday, paving the way for a sunny weekend in the upper ‘50s and lower ‘60s.
