Two killed in Camden murder-suicide

A husband and wife are dead after a murder-suicide near Deer Ridge Apartments on Thursday evening. According to investigators, the couple, Bryant and Alyssa Griffith, died around 3:30 p.m.
The man reportedly shot his wife in the chest then turned the gun on himself. The shooting happened at the couple’s home at 198 Oakdale Rd. An investigator said that a young child was at the home during the incident.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed late in the day that they are actively investigating the case.
There was no apparent motive in the preliminary investigation.
