On August 29, deputies in the West side of the county arrested Brian Swearingen and Elizabeth Sparks for allegedly being in possession of stolen property.

According to Sheriff Kenny Christopher, the two suspects were found with a flat screen tv, computer monitor, Wii game system, surround sound system, multiple DVDs, Wii games, two DVD players, and a vacuum cleaner. The sheriff said all of the items were reportedly stolen.

Christopher said, “We just are not going to put up with these crimes in our county. I look forward to the day these thieves and criminals get that clear. Until then, we are just going to keep on cleaning it out of our area.”

Swearingen, 39, and Sparks, 27, were both charges with vandalism, theft and aggravated burglary and are being held in the Benton County Jail with a $10,000 bond.
