While responding to a “trespassing in progress” call at a residence on Bivens Cypress Creek Rd., Sergeant Ron Netterville witnessed a suspect coming out of a barn on the property and asked him to halt for questioning. According to Netterville, moments later, the suspect, Thomas Williams, 31, of White Bluff, jumped into a green Dodge Dakota pickup and tried to flee the scene. The report stated Williams was then “tased,” but still did not stop.

The report said the suspect headed down a nearby logging road, with Netterville and deputy Jeff Arnold in pursuit. Shortly thereafter the truck became stuck and the deputies were able to approach the vehicle.

The suspect was apprehended after the deputies broke out the passenger side window and pulled him from inside.

Williams was charged with trespassing, evading arrest by a vehicle, burglary, resisting arrest and on a warrant from Dickson County.
