MELTON FAMILY AND HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT – the Melton family stood with Road Superintendent Buck Carter and Scotty Hollowell moments after the unveiling of the sign bearing Sonny’s name.

Sonny Melton lived his life in a way that upon his untimely death, he touched a world left behind. His name will always be linked to the nation’s deadliest shooting on domestic soil, but to those who knew and loved him, his legacy means so much more.
