As 2018 comes to a close it is as good a time as ever to say thank you to all our readers and advertisers who have made 2018 a fun and interesting year at our newspapers.
While at the national convention we discovered a new app that our readers and advertisers may download for free at the app store for Iphones and Google Play Store for Android phone users. It is called MVP NewsPlayer app and it will bring certain photos and advertisements to life. It will be introduced shortly to all of the newspapers, having made its debut Christmas week for the Carroll County News-Leader and The Camden Chronicle. Go ahead and download the app and be ready. It will be fun and entertaining.
Also added in the late fall of 2018 was Kid Scoop, a fun and educational page fun for all, especially for elementary and middle school students and teachers.
Looking ahead to 2019, we are in the midst of making plans and scheduling special sections and features. In doing so, we welcome input from our readers on what you would like to see more of as well as what you may want to see less of.
Our editors strive to make this newspaper a true community newspaper for the entire county. We want our readers to consider it as “their” newspaper and let us know what you like.
We also welcome submissions whether as guest columns, letters to the editor or photos of events. Please also send in your announcements, especially including wedding and engagement announcements, birthdays, anniversaries and reunions.
Find us in print and online where readers will be able to subscribe for less than the price of picking a newspaper up at the news stands. Sometimes news stands are sold out so make sure your copy comes right to your mailbox by subscribing. Subscribers may also call the office and subscribe right over the phone. The newspaper will even bill you for the subscription.
