Terror baseball traveled to Hopkinsville, Ky., to play in an age 12 and under (12U) open tournament last weekend. The Terror boys had a great weekend, scoring 57 runs and surrendering only 17. The boys were there to bring home the bling, and after going 5-0 for the weekend, they headed back to Tennessee with new championship rings.

Twelve teams joined Terror in Hopkinsville on Saturday to make a run for the rings. During pool play, Terror first defeated the GC Eagles, 18-0, before besting the Clarksville Orioles, 12-5.

Going into elimination on Sunday, Terror fought their way out of fourth place, first beating the W. Kentucky Longhorns and then the W. Kentucky Hitmen. Heading into the championship game, Terror faced the Blue Knights from Newburgh, Ind. Terror defeated their foes with a final score of 9-2 to win the Hopkinsville 12U AAA Championship!

Terror players and parents would like to thank everyone in the community for supporting them in their rib-eye steak sandwich sale, held in Camden on April 19. The team sold 500 sandwiches, which helped raise money that will be used later this summer to send the boys to play at Ballparks of America in Branson, Mo.

The team is very excited to see what happens as they play in upcoming games in Cordova, Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Oxford and Tupelo Miss. Terror invites all of their fans to come out and watch them play, or to follow their games on GameChanger (www.gc.com).
