A suspect in an armed robbery out of Kentucky was captured on July 12 after authorities notified Benton County Sheriff’s Department that he could be in the area, according to Sheriff Kenny Christopher.

Christopher said around 6:40 p.m. on Friday evening, deputies received information that Sean Keith, a fugitive from justice, was possibly hiding out in a home on Melton St. The sheriff, along with Sergeant Dan Clark and Deputy John Lambright made entrance into the residence and found Keith unresponsive in the bathroom floor. A witness on the scene told investigators that Keith had been awake for several days, using methamphetamine, and then ingested a large amount of sleep aids.

Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene and took the suspect to Camden General Hospital. Once Keith was stable, he was then transported to Jackson Madison County Hospital.

Keith was released to authorities on Sunday and remains in the Benton County Jail where he awaits extradition to Kentucky.
