Tiny Tea House offers extensive flavors and views

Posted

Looking for a place to get away for an hour or night? The Tiny Tea House in the Trees might just be the place. Proprietors Paul and Kim Summers opened the quaint tiny tea house on Friday and extended a warm welcome to chamber members at the ribbon cutting.

Off of the beaten path, The Tiny Tea House offers visitors an opportunity to take in the tree-top view of the Tennessee River with country charm and southern flair. Inspired by the tiny-house popularity, Kim said this was a perfect way to share their lovely environment with other people. “My husband and I have spent years here and have always returned home feeling as if we had a beautiful vacation. We just wanted to be able to share what we have with others. I had an epiphany one day with tiny houses and having high tea and it all came together with The Tiny Tea House.”

According to the website, nothing says special occasion like a High Tea.  And, for those who like a combination of sweet and savory fare, there is nothing better.  The Tiny Tea House will offer a traditional High Tea, with a southern flair, and something a little more for those who wish to linger for dinner or maybe spend the night.  Everything on the menu will be homemade, using home grown ingredients whenever possible.  The Tiny Tea House will accommodate intimate groups of two to four or larger outdoor celebrations “in the trees.”

Catering services will also be available for off-sight events.

Kim said the vision for the Tiny Tea House results from a love of hospitality, baking - both sweet and savory - and, of course, tiny houses.  Located on the edge of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge, approximately 70 minutes from downtown Nashville and over-looking seven miles of the Tennessee River, the Tiny Tea House offers a charming setting for special occasions or just a retreat from the big city, serving a southern-style High Tea, as well as dinner and breakfast for overnight guests.

Kim finished with, “We are so glad to be in Benton County and we invite everyone out to enjoy our shabby-chic Tiny Tea House. Come for dinner or stay with us overnight, we welcome you all.”
