Remember those who gave all

Posted

I hope that everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. It’s a time we crank up the grills, fill the pools, and enjoy time with those we love. But I hope that you took time to stop and remember why this national holiday is so very special. We are forever thankful to the brave men and women who gave their lives to defend our country.

I was in St. Louis for the weekend with my husband and son. We spent time with my family there, and of course saw the sights! Going to large cities is always fun, walking around downtown and exploring. But honestly, coming home is even better. Big city life is great for some, but life in our small, Southern town is truly the best!

While I was away, I missed many great activites here at home. Congratulations to the Big Sandy Spring Festival on another great event. From all of the talk and photos, it seems that this year’s festival was the best one yet!
