Patriotic themed event at local church with new officiant

According to church officials, there will be a “God and Country” service on Sunday, July 7, at 2 p.m.at House of the Lord Church. The service will include the presentation of the flags, patriotic music, and recognition of veterans and elected officials. The community is invited and encouraged to attend.

During the ceremony, the new interim pastor Richard Clifton, will be introduced. Clifton will serve the vacancy left by pastor and educator Don Churchwell. Churchwell passed away in November after battling cancer for many years.

Clifton has been in the ministry since 1972 and he and his wife, Beverly, live in Spring Hill.

House of the Lord Church is located at 8315 Hwy. 641 N. in Camden.
