Nellie Jean Flowers, 84, of Camden, passed away Friday, Sept. 27. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home of Camden with Matt Greer officiating. Burial followed at Cowell’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Flowers was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Benton County, to the late Patrick P. Fry and Elsie A. Capps Fry. She was a retired business owner, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member of Missionary Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Flowers, a son, Barry Flowers, a brother, Marion G. Fry, and two sisters, Mildred Chappell and Drucille Beasley.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet M. Flowers, of Camden; a grandson, Brandon (Taylor) Flowers, of Dickson; three grandchildren, Brantley, Caiden, and Aubrey, and a brother, Jerry A. Fry, of Medford, Ore.
