Welcome to August, everyone. August always means getting busy again and adjusting to new schedules and routines. I hope all the students, teachers, and staff had a great first few days back to school.
Please be careful and understanding of the school traffic and new drop off rules. Our school staff and the awesome Officer James Inman do a great job helping to navigate the school zones, but it may take a few weeks to get everything running smoothly.
It’s almost time again for Benton County’s annual Bargain Highway! Bargain Highway will be held this year on August 30-31. This is the 21st year, and we hope it will be the best Bargain Highway yet!
By registering your yard sale to appear on the official Bargain Highway map, your sale becomes an official location where shoppers can sign up for the Chamber’s $1,000 give-a-way during the Bargain Highway event.
When you register, you also get to include on the map a 25-word classified ad about your sale. Each year, the Chamber prints 3,000 copies of the map and distributes every one of them. By making sure your sale is on the map, potentially 3,000 people will learn about where your sale is located and what you have to offer.
Once you register, you will get a sign up book for shoppers to sign for the $1,000 drawing, and yard signs to put up showing that your sale is one of the $1,000 drawing locations. All of these benefits are yours for a registration fee of only $35.
You don’t want to miss out on this chance to put your sale on the map, so hurry and register before the deadline! Give the Chamber a call at 731-584-8395 or stop by. Please register and pay the fee no later than Monday, Aug. 12, by noon.
