FYI Clinic benefits from generous donation

Posted

Many in the community find themselves moved to support the work of the FYI Clinic, which is a crisis pregnancy medical clinic specializing in early pregnancy diagnosis. It offers many services, all of which are free and confidential.

Free services may include crisis pregnancy counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and helpful information concerning pregnancy, prenatal care, abortion procedures and risks, and alternatives to abortion such as adoption. The clinic also offers ongoing pregnancy support, parenting education, and referrals for services including health care, legal advice, and adoption services.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church is one of FYI’s supporters. Every year during the Lenten season, St. Mary’s raises money to give to the FYI Clinic. This year, St. Mary’s and the St. Mary’s Ladies Guild donated a combined total of $1,373. Donations like these are essential for the FYI Clinic to fulfill its mission.

At this time, in order to replace outdated and poorly functioning computers in their office, the FYI Clinic has an urgent need for additional funds. To meet new HIPPA regulations, in addition to the new computer hardware, the clinic also must upgrade its server and firewalls.

This unexpected and unplanned financial burden on the center will cost approximately $2,900. If anyone feels moved to help defray the costly expense of this necessary equipment to further the clinic’s mission, clinic staff would be incredibly grateful.

Anyone who would like to make a donation to the clinic can mail a check to The FYI Clinic, 1241 Hwy. 70 W., Camden TN 38320. Alternately, if one would prefer to use PayPal, a link can be found on the FYI Clinic Facebook page. Please call Director Shannon Dykstra at the clinic (731-584-1717) with any questions.
