Evans, Easley to wed

Shelby Evans and Derek Easley announced their engagement on October 7. They plan to marry at The Venue at Twin Oaks in Humboldt on Sunday, December 23.

A 2011 graduate of Camden Central High School, Shelby is the daughter of Keith and Heidi Evans, of Camden. She completed her bachelor of science in chemistry at Bethel University, and has been working at Matheson Tri-Gas for the past two years.

Derek is the son of Stacy and Karen Tharpe, of Camden. Also a 2011 CHS graduate, Derek chose to serve our country by enlisting in the U.S. Army four years ago. He currently is stationed in Germany.

After they are married, the couple will make their home in Germany.
