BACKPACK GIVEAWAY - From left, Kristen Capps, Michelle Teague, Neal Capps, Maccie Coleman, Angie Hampton, Deborah Shepherd, Beate Harris, Nora Townes, Kailani Capps, Rodney Hampton, and Jerry Coleman braved the heat Saturday morning, July 20, to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies, hot dogs, chips, and drinks, to area school children. Sponsored by Eastside Church of Christ and Benton County’s Head Start programs, the effort distributed 125 backpacks to Benton County kids. This was the second year for Eastside to hold this giveaway.
