Several Benton County students have been awarded scholarships to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin for the 2019-20 academic year, according to Executive Director Dr. James Mantooth with the Office of Enrollment Services and Student Engagement.
Landon Smith, son of Micah and Heather Smith of Camden, received the Dr. David O. Patterson scholarship. An engineering major, Smith will be a sophomore in the fall.
Three incoming freshman also received scholarships. Matt Blow, son of William and LaBriska Blow of Camden, received the Chancellor’s and the Elam Alumni Legacy Scholarships. Sarah Caruthers, daughter of Marty and Susan Caruthers of Big Sandy, also received the Elam Alumni Legacy Scholarship. Victoria Redlund, daughter of Eric and Regina Redlund of Camden, received the Golightly Foundation Scholarship.
Three seniors from Benton County received scholarships as well. Angel Green, daughter of Michael and Tangey Baker of Big Sandy, received the Paul and Sue Foote Mathematics Scholarship. Dylan Kelley, son of Loy and Patty Kelley of Eva, received the Henry Earl Thompson/TLM Associates Scholarship. Hannah Morgan, daughter of Jeffrey Morgan of Big Sandy and the late Lisa Morgan, received the James Augustus Staulcup Scholarship.
