County Mayor addresses Rotary Club

Posted

Benton County Mayor Brett Lashlee attended the meeting of the Camden Rotary Club Thursday and updated the members on several projects and potential projects around the county.

Among the updates was the announcement of a Luv’s truck stop coming to the interstate at Exit 126. He said construction was scheduled to begin in May and that an Arby’s restaurant would be included.

He also mentioned that the county is planning to purchase the building off the court square in Camden that formerly housed Ray Smith Chevrolet in order to move the county’s businesses into it. This would free up the courthouse for judicial purposes.

During the meeting, Lashlee fielded questions from Rotarians on several issues.
