WATER DEPARTMENT

NOTICE OF JOB OPENING

THE CITY OF CAMDEN WATER DEPT. HAS AN OPENING FOR ONE (1) WATER PLANT OPERATOR.

The City of Camden Water department is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a position at our Water Treatment Plant. This is an entry level position and requires some shift work. Some weekends, holidays, and overtime can be expected. This position assists the operator on shift in assuring water quality by collecting samples for laboratory analysis, maintaining plant grounds and equipment, chemical feeders, pumps, etc., and general housekeeping. On-the-job training is provided. You will be required to obtain a Grade III, Water Plant Operator’s License within 24 months of hire.

This position may require strenuous physical effort (walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting more than 40 lbs.) Minimum requirement is a high school diploma. Hiring is subject to a background check and drug testing.

HOURS: MONDAY – THURSDAY 6:00AM TO 2:00PM

FRIDAY - 2:00PM TO 10:00PM
