While giant retailers scored big on Black Friday, smaller, locally owned companies dished out savings on Saturday during the Small Business Saturday campaign.
Sunshine Boutique, a clothing store on Hwy. 641 N., offered deep discounts to customers throughout the day on Saturday. Owner, Amy Cates, said, “While we weren’t as profitable on Saturday as we were last year, the Small Business Saturday sale was still good to us.”
Cates added that she was grateful for all of the customers that stopped in the store and took advantage of the savings.
This is the fifth annual Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting local businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods in small communities like Camden and Big Sandy.
