Russell B. Gelo 1965-2022

Russell Burton “Hytork” Gelo, 57, of Holladay, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 4, in Bruceton. Oakdale Funeral Home of Camden was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gelo was born March 23, 1965, to the late Carl W. Gelo and Bertha V. Cushman. He was a former truck driver that was best known for playing pool and poker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roderick and Jerome Gelo, and a niece, Susie Gelo.

He is survived by a sister, Deborah Cooper, of Searsmont, Maine; two brothers, Raymond (Wendy) Gelo, of Waldo, Maine, and Randall Gelo, of Concord, N.H.; his stepfather, Harold Ruuk, of Holladay; 10 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
