Regena T. Cassity 1936-2020

Regena Thomas Cassity, 84, of Mount Washington, Ky., formerly of Cadiz, passed away Friday, July 31, at her residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 4, at 2 p.m., at the Cadiz Baptist Church with Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial followed at the Cassity Cemetery. Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz was in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Cassity was born March 21, 1936, in Camden, to the late J.G. “Tommy” and Lottie Lou Hale Thomas. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and retired from Trigg County Schools where she was a health and physical education teacher as well as the cheerleading coach for Trigg County High School.  Regena was a co-owner with her husband, Bobby, of Cassity’s Antiques for 22 years and a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
  She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bobby H. “Bob” Cassity; a son, Thomas H. (Beth) Cassity, of Mount Washington; a granddaughter, Shelby Cassity; a great-granddaughter, Aurora Cassity; a brother,  Bob (Jean) Thomas of Scottsboro, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
