Psalms 23:4 – “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death”. This verse says a world of truth! First, we will face valleys in the Christian life. David did, Paul did, even Jesus did, and we will, but there is comfort for us. He goes on to say, “I will fear no evil: for thou art with me”. The presence of Christ is always with us, no matter how dark the storm or shadow. He said, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee”.

This valley has an end. He said “through” the valley. No matter how difficult, we will come out on the other side of it, even if heaven is the other side. He also refers to the darkest of valleys, which is death, as a shadow! Shadows cannot actually harm us, only scare us. Jesus has conquered death when he arose from the dead. He said, “Because I live, you shall live also”.

Christian remember, He is with us in the valleys we may be facing right now. Others may not understand, but, “He was tempted in all points like as we are-yet without sin”. Let us not fear the shadows of doubt and trouble. “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of …power and a sound mind”. God bless you today as you go through the valleys and shadows of this life with courage and faith.
