McConnell named Camden Football Coach

It’s Official! Benton County Schools Director Mark Florence confirmed that at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, former Waverly (50-13) and current Westview (6-5) Head Coach, Matt McConnell was named Camden Central High School Football Head Coach. He fills the vacancy left by William Blow who coached the Lions for nine years.

Florence said, “Coach McConnell graduated from Camden Central High School in 1997, and we’re excited that he is coming home to coach the Camden Lions. He’s been successful throughout his career, and we’re looking forward to the excitement he will bring to our program.”
