Local girl killed in weekend accident

An 11-year-old Camden girl was killed when the vehicle she was a passenger in rolled over and she was ejected out of the window, according to the accident report.
The accident happened on Saturday evening, around 6:20 p.m., on Hwy. 79, southwest of Paris. The report stated that a 2015 Chevrolet Impala driven by Kevin Hilt, 38, struck the 1996 Jeep the girl and another young girl, 12-years-old, were passengers in. Both girls were thrown from the vehicle.
The 11-year-old victim succumbed to her injuries. The 12-year-old was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. The report indicated that neither of the girls wore their seatbelts.
Ricky Glisson, 35, was listed as the driver of the Jeep. There were no injuries listed for either driver.
