The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is offering sober rides to local residents tonight.
Sheriff Kenny Christopher said, “If you find that you have celebrated the holidays a little to much, and find that a sober driver is not around. Call us, at (731) 584-4632 and we will get you home safe and sound.”
He furthered, “We will be offering sober rides home from and to locations in the Benton County area New Years Eve. There are limitations to sober ride home.”
Here are the guidelines:
1. The pick up and drop off location must be in Benton County, TN. If you live outside of Benton County, we can give you a ride to one of the local hotels.
2. We will not take you to the celebration location. We are not a taxi service, it is your own responsibility to get to the party.
3. If you do decide to call us for a ride, please keep in mind that our response may not be immediate. Our officers may be busy taking someone else home at the time that you call, but will get to you as soon as possible.
