Linnie Brewer Farrar, 88, of Jackson, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home of Camden with Jim Austin and Mike Blankenship officiating. Burial followed at Benton Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Farrar was born March 12, 1931 in Faxon, to the late Robert Brewer and Allie Berry Brewer. In 1974, she became the first Senior Citizens Director for the Benton County Senior Center where she guided it with tremendous dedication and love for 22 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Camden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley H. Farrar, a son, Robert W. “Dub” Farrar, a brother, Raymond Brewer, and two sisters, Ruby Hollingsworth and Reba Fields.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce (Nick) Vraijch, of Jackson; a granddaughter, Sherry (Heath) Harpole; two step grandchildren, Sasha and Michael Vraijch; two great-grandchildren, Harrison and Sarah Grace Harpole, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
