Dear Editor,
You know we grew up with all that you mentioned in your article (My View by Publisher: Dennis Richardson) in the November 22 edition and it is ashamed that it has suddenly disappeared. We are supposed to be progressing. If we think back to when the constitution was written, the right to bear arms was a musket rifle and I agree that it was a necessity.
They could not have conceived an Uzi or assault rifle, which should be illegal, except for the military.
Due to the fact that it appears to be uncontrollable, we must start at the next generation and get the proven standards that work back.
I also agree on the holiday seasons. They seem to start in October and end on January 31, just in time for tax season.
Thank you,
John Phifer, Camden
