Huntingdon’s 6U Softball All-Stars concluded a winning summer on Sunday, placing second in the FASA State Softball Tournament in Milan.

After defeating Lexington 13-3, Crockett County 16-6, McKenzie 20-6, and Lake County 10-9, Huntingdon’s girls came up against Lexington again in the championship round on Sunday.

But Lexington rebounded with back-to-back wins over Huntingdon, 12-10 and 16-6, to claim the state title.

Huntingdon, however, did claim a championship title after sweeping another state tournament in Milan back in June.

The Huntingdon 6U All-Stars include players Maggie Mitchell, Aubri Laman, Natalie Gurley, Raegan Dretzka, Kaibri Freeland, Tinley Johnson, Collyns Wood, Emory William’s, Piper Cary, Ella Atkins, and Anderson Pearson, and coaches Kim Pearson, Justin Johnson, Matt Dretzka, Johnny Pearson, and Chris Mitchell.
