Hensley edges others to win football contest

It was close but Mike Hensley of Camden out picked all others to take home the first place $25 check and bragging rights for the week in The Camden Chronicle football contest.

Hensley only missed two games: Creek Wood over Sycamore and Stewart County over East Hickman.

Don Caperton and Gerald Hale were in the running, but missed three games to gain honorable mention.

Caperton missed Union City over Gibson County, Stewart County over East Hickman and McKenzie over Adamsville. Hale missed Creek Wood over Sycamore, Haywood County over Crockett County and Florida over LSU.

The game winners (in order): Huntingdon, Waverly, Camden, Haywood, McKenzie, Lake County, Hollow Rock-Bruceton, Creek Wood, Obion County, Union City, Cornersville, Stewart County, MTSU, South Carolina, Florida and Texas A&M.
