Randy Gilbreth, of Bruceton, won the fall football contest for the second week in a row, correctly picking 15 of 16 games in the contest. Trailing right behind Gilbreth in week four’s contest were contestants Danny Gilbert, Mike Hensley, and Lance Wilson, who each made 14 correct picks.
The only game Gilbreth got wrong last week was the contest between Camden and McEwen.
Gilbreth bet against the Lions, choosing the Warriors over our home team. Glad he was wrong – Camden won 48-34 on its home field!
Gilbreth missed the tie-break question again last week, sticking with his guess that the most points scored by any contest team would be 59. The record high score came in Dresden’s rout of Gibson County, where Dresden put 63 points on the board to Gibson’s zero.
Check out the week five contest on page 2B of this paper. Six college games are in the mix this week, mostly SEC contests.
Any cancelled games are counted as correct answers. Anyone making correct choices can win the check for $25, so try your luck at choosing all 16 winners for next week.
Don’t forget to mark an answer for the tie-break question, and be sure to get your completed form to The Chronicle office by Friday at 5 p.m.
