On December 15, the Camden Elks Lodge hosted a Christmas Party for the Benton County Sheriff’s and Camden City Police Departments.
The Elks Lodge’s Joe Allen said on the following day, “We are blessed to have such a fine group of men and women serving and protecting our community.”
He continued, “It was wonderful to see the unity of these two departments as they enjoyed the all-to-rare occasion of being able to share an evening together with their family and friends.” Allen continued, “I would also like to acknowledge and give thanks to all the officers that were on duty last night and unable to attend.”
Allen said, “I personally would like to give a ‘Special Thank You’ to Tammy Kelly, Brett Rogers, Sam Leonard, Tommy Matlock, Mark Williams and Debbie Taylor. All your hard work prepping, cooking and serving an awesome meal and all the clean-up that followed made the annual law enforcement appreciation dinner a huge success.”
Sheriff Kenny Christopher said his department enjoyed the festivities immensely and they look forward to the gathering every year.
