Dr. Seuss Day to Be Held at Woodlands Nature Station

Opening weekend at the Woodlands Nature Station will be full of fun story times, scavenger hunts, and crafts as the Nature Station celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes is excited to announce that the Woodlands Nature Station will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Day on Saturday, March 4, in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday earlier in the week. The day will feature multiple animal programs themed around several of Dr. Seuss’ books including Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. 

March 1, 2023 marks opening day for the Nature Station and staff and animals are ready to greet guests from near and far with exciting programs, animal encounters, and more on Dr. Seuss Day and beyond. Bring the family, a picnic lunch, and enjoy a full day of programs and even a hike or two!

The Woodlands Nature Station is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in March and offers daily programs. All programs and activities are included in Nature Station admission fees, which are $7 for ages 18 and up; $5 for ages 5-17; and free for ages 4 and under.
