Tennessee Wildlife Federation, one of the oldest conservation organizations in Tennessee, is pleased to announce Delta Waterfowl as its title sponsor for the annual Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt. To rais funds, Delta and other sponsors will offer a great variety of items through an online auction that can be found at

The Youth Waterfowl Hunt will be held Feb. 3-4 in Dyersburg and is the largest event held by the TWF’s Hunting and Fishing Academy. Through participation in the weekend, youth ages 16 and younger learn valuable outdoor skills while building community and an appreciation for the great outdoors. This annual event also funds additional hunting and fishing programs that get hundreds more youth and adults outdoors every single year.

The Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt is an annual duck hunt in honor of Rice who tragically passed away in 2007. The invitation-only event remembers the young man through his favorite pastime and fosters an appreciation for wildlife conservation in youth.

For 13 years, Delta Waterfowl has sponsored the Davis P. Rice Memorial Youth Waterfowl Hunt which has introduced over 1,200 youth across the state to waterfowl hunting since its inception.

“We couldn’t imagine this event without them,” said Taylor Martin, associate director of TWF’s Hunting and Fishing Academy. “Delta Waterfowl’s contributions always exceed our expectations and help raise the bar for the silent auction every year.”

The silent auction is open to the public and includes art, collectibles, outdoor gear, equipment, and much more donated by Delta Waterfowl and other sponsors. Silent auction bidding opens Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. and closes Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. View auction items and place bids at Winners will be contacted via text.
