On Monday, Oct. 17, members of the 1967 Camden Central High School graduating class met at Country and Western Steakhouse for their 55-year class reunion. These classmates share an average age of 73.

The CHS graduating class of 1967 originally had 127 members, but 39 members are now deceased. Thirty-one classmates, along with 18 spouses and other guests, were able to attend the event.

The group enjoyed a great time of fellowship, sharing old photos, dining together, and reminiscing about times shared and experienced during their years together in high school and since. As the evening came to a close, everyone agreed that they would not wait another 55 years to meet again.

Gary Troutt was kind enough to send the information and photos of the class of ’67 reunion to the newspaper. Ever the gentleman, he noted in his email, “If you can only print one photo in the paper due to space limitations, please use the one of the ladies. Thank you!”
