Earlier this week, Benton County Schools Director Mark Florence explained that due to relaxed federal guidelines to help feed more children during the pandemic, children no longer have to be present to receive a meal.

The schools have prepared packets for students at all grade levels that offer them on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. A release stated, “Also, starting Wednesday, April 8, packets will be available at Grab-N-Go locations during meal pickups.” According to the information provided, parents are instructed to pull up to the front door and a school representative will be there to offer assistance. Organizers said in order to keep everyone as safe as possible, families are asked to remain in their vehicles. These newest packets are designed to last 2 weeks. School officials will announce soon when those are available.

For those with questions, call the Benton County BOE at (731) 584 -6111.
