REGIONAL RUNNER-UP – Congratulations to the Camden Volleyball team for placing as runner-up in the Regional Tournament on Oct. 11.
REGIONAL HONORS – Emmalee Stockdale (left) and Trinity Woodard (right) were named to the Regional All-Tournament Team for their strong play during the team’s run to earn the Regional Runner-Up position.

After winning the District Tournament on their home turf, the Camden Volleyball team advanced to play the Regional Tournament at Harpeth High School on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The team faced their first loss of the season at this event, emerging as the Regional Runner-Up.

Their performance at Regional allowed the team to advance to Sub-State at Loretto High School. Unfortunately, the Camden Volleyball season came to an end at that game with three losses in a row versus Loretto, a very tough and dominating team.

“Our loss at sub-state is nothing to feel bad about, because we fought the whole time and never gave up! An undefeated regular season, District Championship, and Regional Runner-Up are great accomplishments and am super proud of these young ladies!” said Coach Jennifer Pierce.

Pierce bragged on her team at the close of her first season as coach. “The players on this team are very disciplined and have strong work ethics – characteristics that are essential for a successful team. I’ve played and coached different sports, and know that their desire, dedication, and confidence to win is very impressive,” Pierce said. “I was really blessed to be a part of this team and enjoyed it so much.”

The new coach stressed that the four seniors Audrey Jackson, Emmalee Stockdale, Kadie Trull, and Trinity Woodard have been outstanding leaders for a very talented and athletic group. All garnered District honors, while Stockdale and Woodard also were named to the Regional All-Tournament Team.

“I am very thankful for the consistent support of our CHS student body, parents, and staff. We had a good turn out to all home games this season, and it was appreciated. The team also benefitted from the support of the many community businesses that sponsored our program this year,” Pierce said. “I am sad to see the season end, but look forward to another amazing team next year. I am just so very proud of these players!”
