Camden Volleyball continues winning tradition with district championship

DISTRICT CHAMPS – Camden Volleyball remains undefeated after they won the Division 1 Class A District 9 championship last week.

Continuing their excellent performance in post-season play, Camden Volleyball swept district competition last Tuesday night, Oct. 4, to emerge as the Division 1 Class A District 9 champions! Following the tournament held in the CHS gym, the Lady Lions remain undefeated. This is the team’s seventh district championship in the past eight seasons.

ALL-TOURNAMENT – Earning All-Tournament honors in district play were Trinity Woodard and Kadie Trull.

Not only did the team win the district tournament, ensuring a berth in the region contest that began earlier this week, but several individual players were acknowledged for their exceptional play. Three players were named to the 2022 All-District Team, and two players were named to the 2022 All-Tournament Team.

ALL-DISTRICT – Earning All-District honors were Audrey Jackson, Emmalee Stockdale, and Trinity Woodard.

Results of region tournament play were not available at press time. Even if the team progresses no farther, a district championship is a wonderful first season outcome for new coaches Jennifer Pierce and Andrea Markham and the players they lead.
