Benton County’s Got Talent will be a local talent show for singers, duos and trios of all ages and will be a special feature at the Benton County Fair later this month. The new show will be on Wednesday, September 25, with registration beginning at 6 p.m.

Benton County’s Got Talent is sponsored by Camden’s 99.7 The Catfish and Magic 95.9 radio stations. Radio General Manager Ron Lane said, “Locals have a great opportunity to get their voice heard through this local competition. This could result in a big boost for their musical career.”

According to Lane, the new talent show replaces the Country Showdown that has taken place in years past.

Lane said the top three winners in the competition will walk away with cash prizes. He said, “There are slots for up to 10 acts in this year’s talent competition. We know Benton and surrounding counties are full of talented singers and we wanted an opportunity for them to be heard. Now is their chance.”

Those interested can contact Lane at the radio station (731) 584-4444 for information on how to enter.

According to Lane, the deadline for entries is Friday, September 20 at noon. Entry forms can be picked up and resubmitted to the radio station located at 117 Vicksburg Ave.
