Bethel’s Jamie Julve wins Alice Lloyd Spring Golf Invitational

Bethel’s Jamie Julve shot 70-75 (145) and finished three over par in route to winning the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational in Richmond, Kentucky which concluded Sunday. The Wildcats placed three in the top 12 and finished fourth out of 11 teams participating. IU-Kokomo won the event with a two day score of 603. Bethel finished at 634. Fifty four golfers were in the field.

Bethel senior Tyler Britt played well and finished 10th with scores of 72-79 (151). Freshman Peyton Lane, finished 12th at 153, (71-75). Ethan Soule shot 77, 85 at 162 and came in 24th. Justin Smith shot 91-85 and was 42nd. David Proctor was 44th at 91-86.
Coach Larry Geraldi said, “It was tough conditions for everyone again – extreme cold and wind. It was not a good day to play golf but everyone played hard and represented Bethel in outstanding fashion. We are happy for Jamie and his effort in winning the event. We will now move on to the SSAC Conference championships.”
