Benton County welcomes 15 new teachers

Benton County Schools recognized 15 new teachers at a reception held at CHS before the Benton County Board of Education meeting on Tuesday evening, Sept. 6. 

“We are excited about what this new group is going to bring to our school system,” said Director of Schools Mark Florence. 

Camden Elementary School welcomed new special education teacher Jasmine Gaskins, new kindergarten teacher Sarah List, and new first grade teacher Olivia Lowry. 

New to Holladay School staff are teachers Katy Knuutila in first grade and Macy Wardlaw in kindergarten.

At Briarwood, Hannah Herndon is new to the fifth grade, and Sara Horton is new to the third grade. 

New at Big Sandy School is junior high math teacher Dustin Baker.

Camden Junior High School welcomed Holly Crum as a new math teacher, and Trudy Higgins-Edison as a new science teacher.

At Camden Central High School, five new teachers populated classrooms this fall. They include Andrea Cooper (English), Phil Jones (history), Cody Knuutila (physical education), Andrea Markham (math), and Emily Sibley (special education).
