Benton County Bass Anglers kick off 2022-23 season

6TH PLACE – In the Junior High Division, Kalvin Leonard and Brody Jack Pierpoint took 6th place among 38 teams.

The Benton County Bass Anglers competed in their first fishing tournament of the 2022-23 season at Pickwick Lake. The event, held on Saturday, Sept. 17, was the first stop on the West Tennessee BASS Nation High School Trail for the school year. 

24TH PLACE – Talon Stone and Hayden Jennette earned 24th place among 122 high school teams.

Benton County sent four teams to compete in the high school division as well as a single boat in the junior high division. Two high school teams placed, along with the junior high school team.

The top team in the high school division for Benton County was comprised of Talon Stone and Hayden Jennette. The duo finished 24th out of 122 teams with two fish weighing a total of 7.35 pounds. The team of Alex Townsend and Drew Hardin finished 34th with two bass weighing 6.04. 

34TH PLACE – Alex Townsend and Drew Hardin placed 34th among 122 high school teams.

The junior high team of Brody Jack Pierpoint and Kalvin Leonard finished 6th out of 38 boats with one fish weighing 2.44.
