Announcing the Athletic Hall of Fame inductees

The Benton County High School Athletics Hall of Fame Committee recently announced the Class of 2019 inductees that will be honored at the annual banquet on Saturday, May 18 at 6 p.m. at Lakeshore Camp in Eva.

The 2019 inductees include, Bradley French, Class of 1956, Camden Central High School, football, Milton Troutt,  Class of 1956, Camden Central High School, football, Kenneth Reed, Class of 1965, Camden Central High School, football, Josh Boyd, Class of 2005, Camden Central High School, football, Jennifer Thornton, Class of 1992, Camden Central High School, basketball and softball, John Bukky, 1967-2005, Camden Central High School, where his coaching resume’ includes, Assistant Football Coach; Head Football Coach and Golf Coach, Lawrence Hatcher, Contributor, Owner/Operator of the Tastee Freeze and former President of the Camden Quarterback Club. As Tastee Freeze Owner, Hatcher fed many high school and little league sports teams free of charge. Hatcher was also a big booster of youth sports activities in the community.

This year’s banquet speaker will be Rudy Kalis, former Sports Director at WSMV-TV Channel 4 in Nashville. Tickets are $25 including a meal and can be purchased from any Hall of Fame Committee Member. For more information contact David Markham at (731) 571-5912.
