Residents living in and around the Camden can learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and other chronic, serious conditions with affordable screenings by Life Line Screening. The event will be hosted by First United Methodist Church in Camden on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Screenings can check for the level of plaque buildup in your arteries, which is related to risk for heart disease, stroke, and overall vascular health. Life Line can measure your bone density to assess risk for possible osteoporosis. They also can check HDL and LDL cholesterol levels, risk for diabetes, kidney and thyroid functioning, and more.

Screenings are affordable, convenient, and accessible for wheelchairs or those with other mobility challenges. Packages start at $159, but consultants will work with you to create a package that is right for you based on your age and risk factors.

If interested in scheduling a screening on Aug. 17, call 877-237-1354 or visit www.lifelinescreening.com. Pre-registration is required. A physician affiliated with Life Line Screening will provide authorization for you if you qualify. The event will be held in the FUMC gym at 104 N. Church St. in Camden.
