Wow, it has been so very warm outside! Fortunately, there is no better place to be for enjoying these warm summer months than on the shores and waters of our beautiful Kentucky Lake. I hope everyone is making the best of these last days of summer, because cooler weather will be here before we know it.

The Chamber of Commerce just held its 2019-20 board member elections, and we are truly blessed with some very talented, well-educated, community-minded individuals to volunteer their time to be on the Board of Directors. First, the Chamber would like to welcome newly elected board members Buck Carter and Jeff Peach. We all look forward to working with these fine fellows!

Next, we offer an official Chamber “Thank you!” to Heather Deckard Smith and Brett Rogers, who just concluded their terms of service as board members. There is no doubt their service was a great help to the Chamber.

Finally, the Chamber would like to recognize the board members who are continuing to serve, including Jeff Piskos, Kathy Hooten, Kenny Arnold, Shannon Dykstra, George Hargrove, JC Johnsonius, Dr. Elizabeth Paschall, Laurie Pierce, Janelle Thornton-Cook, and Sonya Volz. Many thanks to each of you for your guidance, support, and positive impact not only on the Chamber, but on all of our community as well.
