In its fourth year, the #1community1heart volunteer day was held on Saturday, Sept. 10, leading to the iconic blue shirts being glimpsed doing good all over Benton County. Organized by Karen Hudson and hosted at the Apex Bank Community room, more than 250 volunteers gathered for prayer at 8 a.m. Saturday morning before setting off to commit random acts of kindness for family, friends, neighbors, or even strangers. Some volunteer groups completed their kind acts prior to Sept. 10, but regardless of when or where volunteers did their work, all involved were blessed by the spirit of community love.
